Data#3 promotes Robinson to CTO

By

Technology services and solutions provider Data#3 has appointed Graham Robinson as its first CTO.

"Data#3 is focused on helping customers to harness the power of people and technology for a better future. The appointment of Graham into the CTO role allows us to further leverage the increased pace of technological change to provide even better value to our customers," said Data#3 CEO and managing director Laurence Baynham.

"The creation of the CTO role reflects Data#3's maturity, growth and customer-first approach. Congratulations to Graham on this well-deserved promotion."

Data#3 executive general manager Brad Colledge said "Graham has contributed significantly to the business in his role as Group Practice Manager, driving our solutions and vendor practice. Graham's CTO responsibilities will continue to advance Data#3 through an external focus to deliver a seamless solutions strategy. I look forward to seeing Graham leverage his wealth of experience and passion to help customers to solve their business challenges through the use of innovative technology."

Robinson has been with Data#3 for 14 years, most recently as as group practice manager. The CTO role has evolved from that, and he will continue to lead the solutions group and the practice management team.

He previously worked for Commander Australia as unified communication practice manager, Volante Systems as a solutions architect, and network integration manager at The Somerville Group.

Robinson holds bachelor of science, master of commerce, and master of law degrees, all from the University of New South Wales.

"This isn't just the next step in my own journey, but reflects the evolution of Data#3 and its amazing people – and I'm incredibly proud of what we've already achieved together. I love what I do and accepting the CTO position is an opportunity to leverage my passion further," he said.

"Technology isn't about products or datasheets, it's about using a set of mind-blowing tools to solve real world problems; whether it's for the person at the desk next to you, or someone on the other side of world. With the exponential technologies converging around us, there's never been a more exciting time to be in tech."
