Salto Systems provides smart access and identity management solutions for commercial and corporate facilities, and for residential properties. These use RFID, NFC, Bluetooth LE, and other technologies, for secure and convenient access controls. It employes 1,700 people and is headquartered in Spain - but with an active, passionate, and dedicated team here in Australia.
Salto has long held the view that it must give back to the world through social and environmental initiatives, and particularly through sport. In fact, it's run Free2Move for over two decades, a social initiative used to unify its social and sports support efforts. Salto says it wants people to be happy, and communities to be strong, and to do its part in helping build a better world.
Just as Salto continuously improves and evolves its smart access control solutions, so it too it works to help people have reasons to smile and to build a better future for themselves and for society.
It's with this deep and rich background, Salto has now launched the Salto Foundation to run social initiatives and engage in sports activities programs that contribute to communities in countries and regions around the globe.

Salto GM for Oceania Frederik Troester said, "We are excited to launch this important initiative in Australia and throughout the world. The Salto Foundation is committed to helping make the world more inclusive. Through sport, we want to be part of a world that fosters inclusion and connections between all people, regardless of their physical capability."
“As our company and broader organisation continue to expand, so does our commitment to society, underlining a shared vision of our role in the global arena. Establishing the Salto Foundation enables us to make an even greater impact around the world,” he said.
Salto’s Australian team are passionately supportive of the initiative. In fact, the team has already contributed to the Foundation's aims by recently participating in the Bridge to Brisbane fun run, Nike Melbourne marathon, and 2XU Melbourne triathalon. To date, Salto workers in Australia have raised over $11,000 to support Paralympics Australia.
“More than just physical activity, we believe that sports are a powerful tool for building connections, fostering social inclusion, and breaking down barriers. In promoting teamwork, respect, and solidarity, Salto Foundation aims to strengthen social bonds, reduce inequality, and provide opportunities for integration and social mobility,” Troester said.
Salto has set up the Salto Foundation as a financially reinforced legal entity that aims to ensure all people can access the best opportunities to enjoy life and do well in society - and that no one is left out or excluded.
Its mission is to support individuals in vulnerable situations by creating safe and inclusive spaces where they can grow and thrive within their communities through sports.
It will do this, Salto says, by operating at the highest standards and driving meaningful change. The Foundation will work with NGOs, help individuals and communities overcome challenges, and build a more just and cohesive society. It will advance the integration and socialisation of underprivileged adolescents and disabled persons globally, through its focus on sports, health, and education.
Salto says the Foundation will set a new benchmark for corporate impact investing, both inspiring and challenging other corporate leaders to do the same.
