The company is expected to announce the successor to the Galaxy S4 Zoom at the event, which will take place at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom was a phone/camera hybrid, and took on Nokia's Lumia 1020 in a battle to take the most jaw-dropping photos. It ran Android 4.2.2 Jellybean and boasted a 16MP shooter.
Various analysts are predicting the new device will be dubbed the K Zoom or maybe the Galaxy K rather than the Galaxy S5 Zoom despite the fact that it’ll likely be based on Samsung’s new flagship phone.
Leaked specifications for the device hit the web earlier this month indicating a 20.2-megapixel camera (5,184 x 3,888 resolution) with optical image stabilization.

Elsewhere, the K camera phone is expected to have a slightly smaller displayer – perhaps around 4.7 inches. It’s also believed to have a lower resolution display at 1,280 x 720 versus the 1,920 x 1,080 screen found on the S5.
The phone is set to boast some big features in some regards however with a six-core Samsung Exynos 5 Hexa SoC with two ARM Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.7GHz and four Corex-A7 cores ticking along at 1.3GHz. This means the phone will be a very different beast under the hood to the S5, which features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.
Expect to hear more about this phone/camera/something closer to 29 April.
