A phamera makes sense – convergence of devices is inevitable. What is special about the K Zoom is the competent camera fits into a miniscule 137.5 X 70.8 X16.6 (20.2) mm 200g body.
Don’t be fooled by the use of the term Galaxy – its not an S5 with a bolt on camera. The term merely denotes it as a phone running Android KitKat 4.4 with the same S5 user interface. It has a smaller 4.8” 1280x720 screen and a combined ‘hexa’ core 1.3GHz quad core and 1.7GHz dual core processor.

Without having reviewed this device we can speculate that it will have the same Galaxy S5 camera app that, while competent, is not quite there yet – Samsung are undoubtedly working on that. On paper, the specs look good but the f/3.1-6.3 24-240mm autofocus lens means use of zoom in low light will be an issue – although the Xenon flash is a bonus.
Opinion - It appears to be a nice, convenient, happy snapper and has the benefit of a phone, GPS, tagging, Wi-Fi, Wi-Di and sharing via email and internet as well. All will depend on the price - not avaiable here yet.
