Dunking Apples

By

Aussie brand Dog & Bone has released a ‘topless wetsuit’ waterproof case for the iPhone 5/s that achieves waterproofing to two metres for 30 minutes without covering the screen or Touch ID.

Fact is that we are an accident prone lot – of the 31% of Britons who dunk their phones – and this is the closest relevant Aussie statistic I can find – nearly half end up in the toilet.

It also adds shockproof to 2 metres and dirt and snowproof – giving it IP68 and Mil STD 801F ratings.

It achieves this via a waterproof boot that is clamped to the rim of the iPhone and around the Touch ID – add some micro-seals and that is it.

The makers claim that topless is the go – it does not inhibit the sensitivity of the touch screen as competitive case designs do.

The RRP is AU$79.95 available online.

Dog and Bone also make a wetsuit for the Samsung Galaxy 4 and a range of leather and textured cases.
