ABC, SBS get $2 million from Government for audio description services
National broadcasters the ABC and SBS are each receiving $2 million in funding from the Federal Government to provide audio description on television programs, making content more accessible for blind and vision impaired Australians.

ABC TV to trial audio program descriptions for the vision impaired
The Government has launched a 13 week trial on ABC TV, of audio description to explain to people with vision impairments what is happening during TV programs, while they also listen to the soundtrack.
