Global end-use of public cloud services is expected to boom this year, with technology analyst firm Gartner predicting a 23.1% rise in spending and reach US$332.3 billion (A$428.7 billion) from US$270 billion in 2020.

Spending on public cloud services by end-users has been forecast to increase to US$4.1 billion (A$5.58 billion) next year, the technology analyst firm Gartner says, adding that this would be an increase of 29.4% year-on-year.

Spending on public cloud services will grow from US$242.7 billion (A$341.4 billion) last year to US$257.9 billion in 2020, an increase of 6.3%, the technology analyst firm Gartner has forecast.
