IT infrastructure specialist Kyndryl has appointed Yolanda Stead to the role of head of alliances for Australia and New Zealand.

IT systems monitoring and improvement specialist and IBM spinoiff Kyndryl has appointed Audrey Campbell-Frear to the role of managing director for New Zealand, effective 1 March 2022.

Kyndryl is the independent public company to be created following the separation of IBM’s managed infrastructure services business. The company has now announced its appointment of Kerry Purcell to the position of president, Australia and New Zealand.

IBM has unveiled plans for a new Australian National Cyber Security Centre in Canberra to be headed by cyber security expert and former top law enforcer, Kevin Zuccato.

IBM’s cognitive technology solution – Watson – is now directly available to businesses and organisations in Victoria, and others throughout Australia, with the opening in Melbourne of a new Watson Client Experience Centre, one of only six such centres in the world outside the Watson Group’s headquarters in New York.

IBM has appointed former SAP senior executive Rhody Burton as its director global business partners for Australia and New Zealand.

Melbourne has been selected as one of 16 cities chosen for the IBM Smarter Cities Challenge Grant out of more than 100 international cities to apply.
