Facebook parent Meta fined €1.2b for personal data transfers to US
The Irish unit of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has been handed a €1.2 billion fine (A$1.95 billion) by the Irish Data Protection Authority over its transfers of personal data from the EU to the US since 16 July 2020.
