CA enters MDM market with a kickstart from SAP

A "unique" deal with SAP has given CA an accelerated entry to the mobile device management, but the company has big plans for the year ahead.

Sybase Speeds Enterprise Adoption of Android

Sybase, Inc, an SAP® company (NYSE: SAP) and industry leader in enterprise and mobile software, today announced new initiatives that demonstrate the company's commitment to making the Android platform enterprise-ready. In an effort to meet the strong customer demand for fully managed and secure corporate email on Android, Sybase is extending Afaria - the most powerful and flexible mobile device management and security solution for the enterprise - to secure Nitrodesk TouchDown email. Additionally, to address the stringent requirements of line-of-business applications, Sybase is bringing its proven SQL Anywhere mobile database and synchronisation technology to the Android platform.

A deal between Sybase and Geomatic Technologies will see the availability of mobile device management as a managed service.
