D-Link answers to OK Google and Siri

By

Router, security, connectivity, IoT, and small business networking maker D-Link has partnered with Google to make its forthcoming products Google Assistant compatible.

Upcoming mydlink products will work with the Google Assistant providing the ability to control smart home products with voice commands.

By saying “OK Google” to the Google Assistant on Google Home or an Android phone, users can ask and receive answers, manage tasks, and control mydlink devices around their home.

It follows D-Link working with Apple to make some of its products Home Kit compatible and is part of the bigger picture of how its products fit into the smart home.

D-Link ANZ managing director Graeme Reardon said, “D-Link is proud to become Google’s partner and be a part of the increasingly expanding home automation industry. We hope to continue providing our customers with new smart home experiences that encompass more possibilities than ever before.”

mydlink is D-Link’s end-to-end smart home ecosystem consisting of a range of home automation devices, the cloud-based platform, and the mobile app. Consumers can connect to, monitor and control devices in their smart home.
