Boyle performed again in the first semi-final of the series which aired earlier this week. She won the viewer’s vote and is looking to be the favourite in Saturday’s grand final episode.
If successful, Boyle will win a 100,000 British Pound prize as well as the opportunity to perform before the Queen during the Royal Variety Performance later this year.
Avid fans have bombarded the likely-sounding web site www.susanboyle.com looking for more information on Boyle, who is still largely new to the public limelight.
Instead of songs they’re finding works of art for sale. Here’s where Susan Boyle comes in – not that Susan Boyle, but Susan K Boyle, a 64-year old artist residing in Texas who put her paintings online on her self-named website back in 2002.
Her site has received an explosion in its traffic over the last month thanks to the other Susan Boyle’s famed Les Miserables performance.
Humorously, not all visitors have realised this isn’t the Susan Boyle they seek with at least one viewer leaving feedback how much they love her singing, and her artwork too!
For Susan K Boyle her lucky name has yet to deliver an artwork sale but after advice she could make a tidy amount she’s now hoping to sell the domain name itself.
Boyle – the Texan – has established a new site with a name less like to be confused, called sboyleart.com, and has listed susanboyle.com for sale commencing at $US 25,000.
Susan K Boyle isn’t offering a personal view on whether she hopes her celebrity counterpart wins the final because, she says, she has not heard the other competitors. Nevertheless, the success of the singing Boyle may well result in the success of the artist Boyle.
