Huawei to support Netcool

By
Huawei Technologies has joined the Micromuse Alliance Program and will immediately provide pre-integration between its data communications equipment, fixed network equipment, optical transmission equipment,
and network element management systems and Micromuse's Netcool products.

As a member of the program, Huawei will deliver pre-integration for its network equipment and network element management system devices, "enabling seamless interoperability with any Netcool-managed network for real-time, end-to-end fault and performance management".

According to Micromuse, "The combination will enable network operators to deploy new services, technologies, and equipment quickly to maximise investments. Together, Huawei Technologies and Micromuse provide value to wireline operators who want to leverage their investment in existing IT infrastructure and who are seeking a complete solution for the end-to-end management of their network infrastructure to support new services."

Since its launch in 2000, the Micromuse Alliance Program has signed up more than 100 software and hardware vendors.
