Huawei announces the new Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick earbuds - mixing fashion with audio excellence

By

Huawei has launched the latest in its FreeBuds earbud range, the FreeBuds Lipstick - mixing style and sophistication, audio excellence, and even perhaps a touch of espionage.

It's almost something you'd expect James Bond - or maybe more likely Get Smart’s Agent 99, or No One Lives Forever’s Cate Archer - to carry. Yet, this luxurious, Paris-designed, stainless steel lipstick case isn’t carrying a dart gun or a spy camera, but instead, high-definition audio, active noise cancelling, smart earbuds.

The FreeBuds Lipstick is the latest in Huawei's range of earbuds which has already been well received for its style, range of features, and crisp, clear audio in a wide range of environments. The Lipstick builds on this by bringing the typical Huawei engineered comfort and audio quality, but in an elegant design that mirrors high-quality lipstick.

After a range of excellent, but reasonably conventional, earbuds, it’s a surprise to see Huawei release the FreeBuds Lipstick. Yet, on the other hand, it’s consistent with Huawei’s brand. Huawei’s product range like its Matebook 14 laptop or like its Gentle Monster Eyewear II has demonstrated thoughtful design carries as much weight at Huawei as features and facilities. In this situation, the FreeBuds Lipstick was designed by Huawei’s Paris Aesthetics Research Centre tasked with creating an exquisitely crafted fashion statement that gives music, podcasts, or calls the showcase they deserve.

The stainless-steel charging case is corrosion and wear-resistant and is built using 30 intricate processes along with polishing to produce a surface as smooth as a mirror. The case even includes the unique “click” sound of a traditional lipstick case. The case and earbuds come in black, gold, and red to evoke romance, mystery, luxury, enthusiasm and charm.

What's more, the unit is presented in a special scented gift box for that extra added touch when opening. There’s no doubt the Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick is a stunning gift for special people in your life, even a gift for yourself.

Audio-wise, the earbuds include intelligent AEM EQ adjustment that automatically detects the ear canal shape and wearing conditions and assigns the best-suited EQ setting to fit your unique ear profile. Additionally, the dual-microphone noise cancellation picks up environmental noise and selects appropriate noise cancellation parameters. Smart connectivity and proximity Bluetooth pairing allow you to effortlessly pair with nearby devices and transfer video from smartphones to a PC or tablet with audio following seamlessly to the earbuds. The battery life allows 22 hours of music with the carrying case or four hours without.

Also, if you're a gamer as much as you are classy, the earbuds can reduce audio latency to 90ms keeping the sound in your ears in step with the action on your screen.

The earbuds can record hi-fi sound with a sample rate up to 48kHz, optionally including your surroundings too - letting you talk freely and choose whether your listeners are immersed in your environment with you or not.

The Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick is available to purchase at the Huawei Experience store online and offline for $399.
