AVG Zen was originally announced in early 2014 as a single point of control for the security and privacy settings of multiple devices and them re-announced in an expanded form at this year's Mobile World Congress following the acquisition of Location Labs and its technology for managing content, applications, and permissions on mobile devices.
AVG Zen currently supports Windows, OS X and Android, and work is underway on an iOS version according to security awareness director Michael McKinnon.
The Zen platform is built into various AVG products, including AVG Protection, AVG Performance, AVG Antivirus for Android (the most downloaded product of its kind, according to McKinnon), and AVG Cleaner for Android. There's also AVG Zen Admin for Android.

McKinnon said AVG plans to partner with other vendors such as home security providers.
The company has previously indicated that Zen will be part of its strategy for managing the privacy and security of devices connected to the Internet of Things.
