IT'S! Monty Python's own YouTube channel

By
Tired of being ripped off for three years, the surviving members of the legendary UK comedy team Monty Python have launched their own YouTube channel.  Is this the right room for an argument?

Nobody expected the Spanish Inquisition, but I guess we all expected this.  The surviving cast members of Monty Python (John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin) have decided to cash in on their past success by supporting the Monty Python Channel on YouTube.

“Tonight on the Money Programme we talk Money, lots of it, on film and in the studio”.

The Python team have their own way of introducing the channel.  "For three years you YouTubers have been ripping us off, taking tens of thousands of our videos and putting them on YouTube, now the tables are turned. It's time for us to take matters into our own hands," they said. "We know who you are, we know where you live and we could come after you in ways too horrible to tell.

"But being the extraordinarily nice chaps we are, we've figured a better way to get our own back: We've launched our own Monty Python channel on YouTube," they said.

The channel will feature clips from Monty Python movies such as Life of Brian, The Holy Grail and the Meaning of Life as well as the popular TV show from the sixties, The Flying Circus.

All for free, a reference that causes the team members to suddenly gag on screen.  “Well what’s the point of doing it then?” quips Cleese.

Much to the teams relief, the introduction goes on; “But we want something in return," they said. "None of your driveling, mindless comments. Instead, we want you to click on the links, buy our movies and TV shows and soften our pain and disgust at being ripped off all these years."

So follow the Holy Gourd, it’s time to pull up the comfy chair and get on the conveyer belt to great Monty Python clips – the last 10 metres are heavily sound proofed.
