The Poly Sync 10 is your versatile go-anywhere speakerphone for work and play

By

The Poly Sync 10 is a versatile USB speakerphone with enterprise-grade hi-fi. Take this all-in-one USB speakerphone wherever you go, or use it in your home office to free yourself from a headset.

Poly has long been making quality audio products that look good and sound great, and, importantly, that genuinely meet the needs of the audience they’re for.

In this case, the new Poly Sync 10 is a tiny, easily portable, speakerphone that turns any room into a conference room. It has a handsome, award-winning design, simple and intuitive touch controls, and amazingly loud yet crisp, clear audio. It includes a two-microphone steerable array to reduce surrounding noises from your environment too and ensure everything you say is heard.

Additionally, it's full duplex so both sides of the call can speak and be heard simultaneously. It’s IP64 dust- and water-resistant. That rating means it’s totally resistant to dust, and protected against splashes. Obviously, don’t take it diving. It connects via USB-A or USB-C and includes a dedicated Microsoft Teams button so you can always join a meeting with one press, instead of hunting around your screen for your Teams window.

The microphone picks up from 1.5m away, and is suited for rooms up to 3m x 3m. The speaker is 40mm and includes bass reflect with dual passive radiators. It’s 32.5mm x 89.2mm x 182mm and weighs 280g.

What that all means is it is super-portable, takes up barely any room on your desk or in your backpack, yet delivers thumping great sound - not only voice, but is an excellent music and podcast player too. Use it for work, and use it for fun; the Poly Sync 10 does it all.

It’s also certified for use with Microsoft Teams and Zoom so you know you are going to get the best results out of those products.

iTWire has been testing the Poly Sync 10 out and found the voice quality was crisp, clear, and effortless. I placed it on my desk and sat normally in my chair and had no difficulty being understood, or understanding those I was speaking with. It delivered excellent audio and microphone pickup. It doesn’t offer Bluetooth, but does have a big brother - the Poly Sync 20 - which does. However, that’s no problem; plugging it into a docking station when sitting at your desk is a no-brainer, and it can plug directly into your laptop on the go.

The Poly Sync 10 is available for prices starting at $163.95.
