A brief overview of the AC60

• Solar Panel Input connection - 200W maximum. You will need to purchase the solar panels separately; however, they easily plug in and operate as a very effective power source.
• AC Input connection – 600W maximum. This offers super-fast charging.
• Car cigarette power adaptor. Again this is an easy plug-in process.

IP65 rating weatherproofing

The AC60 has an IP65 rating, a significant advancement over previous models. It means you can use it anywhere outdoors or while camping without worrying about the weather.

Expandable storage capabilities

The AC60 has a great companion in the B80 expansion battery for those longer adventures. This will boost your power option by 806Wh and significantly change your off-grid capabilities. The B80 has been created for the AC60, however, it will work with other BLUETTI storage units, including EB3A, EB70, EB55 and AC180. The B80 offers amazing flexibility.

Multiple and simultaneous charging

There are plenty of charging options for a multitude of devices simultaneously. With two USB-A outlets, one USB-C 100W fast-charge output, two AC output outlets, and a 15W wireless charging pad positioned on the top of the unit. There is more than enough to go around.

Easy monitoring

The AC60 is designed to be easy to use with its advanced technology. It has a colour LCD screen that provides helpful information such as battery level, remaining charge/discharge time, input/output power, and more. You can also use the BLUETTI App to monitor and control the charging process from anywhere, making it convenient to manage even when you're not nearby.

I was particularly impressed with the AC60's fast charging and quietness during the charging process. It arrived with 48% charged, and I fully charged it in just 40 minutes, which is a great improvement over other units I've tested. I was also pleased with the performance of the car charger.

BLUETTI indicates that AC cable charging will take 1 hour, and Solar panel charging will take 2.5 hours.  

The AC60 has an innovative ECO mode that automatically switches off to conserve energy when no devices are connected. It can also adjust AC and DC outputs separately for smaller appliances, ranging from 10 to 30W and 5 to 20W, respectively, through the BLUETTI App. This reduces energy consumption and allows a run time of one to four hours. Additionally, it has an ultra-low standby loss when not in use.

More pros than cons

There are plenty of pros.

Pros:

• The AC60 is well-designed, with all the outlets and ports front-facing and easily accessible.
• The 15W wireless charging pad on top of the unit is convenient and a smart use of space.
• USB-C 100W fast-charge outlet – this is very handy and widely used.
• 2 x USB ports – these also get a lot of use.
• The 2 x AC output charging outlets – offers plenty of options.
• I liked the fact that you can charge the battery with both solar and AC power at the same time.
• Including a large light with three separate modes is an excellent inclusion.

Cons:

I am struggling to find any real issues.

• The device weighs 9.1kg and feels solid, making it difficult to tip over. However, it may feel heavy if you need to carry it for a long time.
