Improving on greatness with the Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed wireless gaming headset

By

Logitech G, the gaming brand of computer peripherals manufacturer Logitech, has released its newest high-end gaming headset, designed for long gaming sessions while providing great comfort and incredible sound.

Logitech's new Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed wireless gaming headset is available now, with 50mm Graphene drivers, 50 hours of battery life, 30m of wireless range, a steel headband and aluminium fork, memory foam leatherette and cloth head pads and ear pads, a 6mm cardioid microphone, DTS X 2.0 surround sound, and much more.

There's a lot to like, and it's easy to see Logitech G's extensive research, development, design and testing with top esports athletes have paid off. The headset bristles with features to give gamers the edge for victory. Particular highlights are the use of graphene for audio drivers, with the material providing an enhanced audio response, reduced distortion, and unrivalled sound, with less weight than previous technologies. Using graphene means the headset allows players to hear the entire soundscape of their game with every footstep, action, and pin pull in sharp detail.

In fact, while its predecessor - the Logitech G Pro X gaming headset - was already a delight to use, Logi has clearly looked at what made that headset great and kept the best bits while adding more to make what was already a top-notch headset even better.

The original Logitech G Pro X gaming headset was a robust, solid, professional gaming headset designed to take hours upon hours of thrilling enjoyment with you. The X2 release now features even better microphone pickup, and even better audio with surround sound, while packing it in a lighter and more comfortable build. It's an impressive headset range to help you dominate the competition.

“The core philosophy of the Logitech G Pro Series is about creating gear that meets the demanding needs of professional esports athletes and competitive gamers,” said Logitech G Pro principal product manager Chris Pate. “With Pro X 2, we've achieved a groundbreaking level of performance by redesigning our PRO-G drivers with Graphene audio technology. With our use of graphene, we can create a driver that is both incredibly rigid and, at the same time, almost impossibly lightweight. This delivers high fidelity sound with extremely low distortion, giving pros the performance they need to play to their maximum potential."

This graphene driver really makes the difference, with the X 2 delivering immersive soundscapes, solid improvements in sound reproduction, and reduced distortion, but with less weight. The result is a more comfortable experience while allowing players to quickly discern the location of objects and enemies all around them.

Additionally, the headset offers wired 3.5mm connection, Bluetooth, and Lightspeed wireless connectivity. It comes in a durable yet light aluminium and steel frame, with a rotating durable hinge and swappable earpads in leatherette and velour. The 6mm cardioid microphone sits on a detachable boom arm, and the DTS X 2.0 surround sound provides greater precision.

“I have always felt Logitech G values my feedback and opinion for product development, that’s why their gear is the highest performing and most popular among top esports athletes. During the development of the G Pro X 2 Gaming headset, I enjoyed the improved comfort and excellent mic. In-game, I found the new Graphene driver a game changer, it really made me feel I got a new advantage to win against my competition,” said Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev, Counter-Strike, Natus Vincere.
