When you think of Sony and Microsoft, you think of music players, movie studios, record companies, batteries, software, and of course games consoles. With Nintendo, all you associate the name with is games. Thus, it really should come as no surprise that this time Nintendo has simply outplayed its two bigger rivals.

ImageDell is setting up its first India manufacturing facility in the southern port city of Tamil Nadu. This would be the third manufacturing unit in the Asia-Pacific and Japan region, after Penang, Malaysia, and Xiamen, China.

Woe is Wii says Sony

It seems that every time I hear an announcement come out of Sony these days, it's about how the company won't be able to meet its manufacturing commitment. As the hapless Japanese games giant struggles to produce 500,000 PS3 units by late November, it must be grinding its teeth over Nintendo's promise to move 4 million Wii consoles by the end of 2006.

Wii 2006 release dates and prices announced

The word is out officially that Japan will have the new generation Nintendo Wii games console in stores on December 2 for the equivalent of about US$212 at today's exchange rates. However, an unofficial report from consumer tech site Engadget states that US consumers will get it two weeks earlier on November 17.
