YouTube - what we watched in 2011

By

YouTube has released its regular annual listing of what we watched in 2011.

having playing over one trillion videos and every minute uploaded nearly 50 hours of content, our viewing habits remain locked in a battle between cute and spoof.

We see talking dogs and babies, we see Pirates of the Caribbean meet Michael Bolton (iTWire hopes the Pirates won!) and any number of undiscovered stars remaining (mostly) undiscovered.

Here's the official list of the most watched YouTube community videos in Australia.

Rebecca Black - Friday (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
Ultimate Dog Tease
An Awkward Moment
Jack Sparrow (feat. Michael Bolton)
Songify This - Winning - a Song by Charlie Sheen
Nyan Cat [original]
The Creep (feat. Nicki Minaj & John Waters)
Nice Guys
CONE-ING IS THE NEW PLANKING!!!!! (AlkiStevens)
Nicki Minaj - Super Bass By Sophia Grace Brownlee

Interestingly, the Global list is quite similar to the Australian list, with five entries in common.
