OPPO hits market with another low-cost 4G model and more storage Supplied

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO has released another 4G device into the Australian market, the A54s. Once again, this is a low-priced model, retailing for $299.

In many respects, this model is similar to an earlier one, the A16s, that was released in October. However, it has double the storage space, which accounts for the extra $50 cost - the A16s sells for $249.

Both models have the same amount of memory and similar-sized batteries: 4GB and 5000mAh respectively.

"At OPPO we believe that our products should elevate the lives of our customers, so we strive to bring Aussies an innovative range of devices that reflect and serve the needs of ambitious and dynamic lifestyles," said OPPO Australia's managing director Michael Tran.

"The OPPO A54s is the ultimate high-performance accessory that punches above its weight.

"With high-end triple cameras to capture memories on the go, large display and 5000mAh battery, the new addition to our A Series is sure to complement the daily lives of many users."

The A54s comes in two colours: Crystal Black and Pearl Blue. It has gone on sale from Monday at the following outlets: JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks and Australia Post.

The device runs ColorOS 11.1 over Android 11.
