The key feature of Ashampoo Media Sync is that it automatically scans the connected device for selected types of files (eg, pictures, music) and then sorts them into the appropriate folders on the destination PC.
Following the initial setup, transfers are processed automatically.
Supported devices include flash drives, smartphones, digital cameras, optical media and any other auto-play device.

"With Ashampoo Media Sync, we specifically target a rather annoying and time-consuming aspect of daily computer use," said product manager Matthias Bromisch.
"Because, despite an ever-growing number of mobile end-user devices, many users neglect or simply forget to backup their files. Our application does this in a fast and automatic fashion."
Ashampoo Media Sync normally costs $24.99, but is currently available at the introductory prices of $9.99. A free trial is available.
