Vodafone Australia is touting a spend of $2 billion on development and expansion of its Australian mobile network over the full year 2017 despite a year-on-year loss of $81.5 million for the first half.

Optus is set to complete the shutdown of its 2G network and turn off 2G services across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, South Australia and Tasmania.
