The Australian Communications and Media Authority is seeking public and industry input to its review of the International Mobile Roaming Standard that ensures mobile service providers give consumers information about costs for using their Australian mobile service overseas.

Optus has completed the rollout of 37 new mobile sites across Tasmania in the last 12 months as part of its $42.2 million investment in the state, aimed at improving call quality and faster download speeds for mobile customers.

Optus has consolidated and expanded its services to government with the securing of a $6 million deal to provide the Australian Government’s Department of Health with telecommunications products and services, including Wide Area Network, mobile and voice services to the department’s 5000 users.
