NBN Co chief executive Bill Morrow has put the onus for slow speeds on consumers, telling ABC interviewers this morning that people needed to find out what speed tier they were on before complaining that they were getting slower speeds than their former ADSL connections.

Australia's second public broadcaster SBS appears to have got into the online snooping game with gusto. The network, which lives mostly off public funds, but also raises some money from advertising, has made its collection of archived programme videos only open to those who register.
