Since the launch of, a premiere patent search portal, the site has given its users the ability to perform basic searches for patents that have been issued by the United States Patent and Trade Office as far back as 2007. has now addedadvanced patent search features that help users sort through the patent database with more accuracy and efficiency.

With well over a million patents in the database, the advanced search tools are a welcome addition for users that utilize the site to find a specific patent or type of patent. 
The advanced patent search tools go beyond basic search functionality allowing users to search the site's complete database of patents for highly specified information. Filling out one or more of the advanced search fields will narrow and improve a user's results, leading to a better user experience all around. Users can choose from a number of specific search options which include:

  •     Claims has maintained the basic search functionality for users that prefer to use a more broad approach or do not have detailed information on a patent. Users can also choose to search for patents by date based on year, month and/or week. Currently maintains a list of patents that date back to 2007 with plans to expand their database in the near future.
