eWAY Revolutionises IVR Payments

Pay by Phone Service Opens up Phone Payments to Small Australian Businesses

CANBERRA, Australian Capital Territory - eWAY, an international payment gateway, has once again revolutionised the payments space with the launch of IVR Payments (Interactive Voice Response). eWAY IVR Payments is a landmark offering for any business that wants to offer big-business convenience to their customers.

The launch coincides with a recent study by Global Industry Analysts Inc reporting that the global IVR market will grow to almost $3 billion by 2017, with the Asia-Pacific region in particular experiencing increased growth.

A key player in the development of the product was global business communications provider, Avaya.

IVR technology lets customers make payments anywhere, at any time, by phone. Merchants can easily add a phone number, billing ID and reference number to their invoices or website. To process an instant payment customers simply call the number, punch in the invoice details and their credit card information. Merchants will be notified instantly via e-mail and can also view payment details by logging into eWAY.

Many eWAY merchants have jumped at the chance to use the new product, with enquiries already flooding in to access the IVR platform.

"We have just added the IVR payment system to our website and are now offering this additional service," Roma Burke, Director of costumebox.com.au. "We've found that some customers are just not happy entering their card details onto any website and are much more comfortable with an alternative method of payment. We feel that this will be one less barrier to sales and will increase our conversions - we will most certainly gain extra sales with IVR."
