Home Telecoms & NBN Buy one of the many phones listed at Kogan and get a free 30-day 16GB unlimited voice plan

Kogan has a knack of doing the obvious — or at least, obvious after the fact — with his latest marketing stunt to offer a free month of Kogan Mobile access with almost any phone purchased at Kogan.com

If you buy a mobile from the large range available at the Kogan.com site, billed as one of the ones being "compatible", then you'll get a "large 30-day Kogan with 16GB of data and unlimited standard calls and texts completely free".

The full list of compatible phones, and all the details of the deal can be found here

Naturally, this deal isn't limited to a few of Kogan's own brand of phones as part of some cynical stunt that isn't, because that isn't Kogan's style.

Instead, as you'd expect, Kogan Mobile plans "are compatible with a huge range of eligible models from Apple, Kogan, Samsung, Sony, Google, Huawei and more, so Aussies can get the phone they want with a free Kogan Mobile plan".

It's also a clever way to get even more Australians using the Vodafone-powered and highly competitive 4G Kogan Mobile network, with the presumed volume nature of whatever deal Kogan has done key to ensuring Kogan earns enough money from the venture to make the whole shebang worthwhile.

Undoubtedly, Kogan and Kogan Mobile have done just that, and as always, there is a time limited component to the deal which is that "this deal is only available for purchase until 11:59PM AEST on 29 August (additional terms below)."

The fine print of the deal is that "Kogan Mobile voucher valid for new Kogan Mobile customers only. Personal use only. Free plan available with eligible compatible devices purchased before 11:59PM AEST 29/08/18.

"For a full list of eligible phones, click here. Kogan Mobile plans are not available for commercial or resale purposes. Free plan offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers. Not transferable and not redeemable for cash. Limit 1 per customer.

So, there you have it. Another cunning stunt from Australia's most cunning marketing stuntmen, and which actually delivers genuine value, making these marketing stunts all the more... cunning!
