NetComm beats Nokia to win NBN Co FttC tender

NBN Co has opted for Australian-made with its decision to award local vendor NetComm Wireless a contract for the supply of distribution point units (DPU) needed for the fibre to the kerb rollout of the National Broadband Network.

Financial markets reacted negatively to Netcomm’s full year 2016 results on Monday, with the share price dropping despite revenues increasing by 14.8% to $85.3 million, but with a big hit to revenues from its broadband business – down by $14.1 million to $26.4 million for the year compared to 2015.
