The Austin, Texas-based Enboarder says it plans to use the investment to expand its offering to become an “all-encompassing employee experience platform” as well as “strengthen its existing employee onboarding offerings to accommodate remote and blended ways of working”.
The funding round was led by top-tier US VC firm Next Coast Ventures, with existing investors, GreyCroft and Stage 2 Capital, also participating.
Next Coast Ventures co-founder and managing director Tom Ball said: “Enboarder has built a unique technology solution that is upending profoundly antiquated employee processes, while also delivering dramatic efficiency improvements and delightful experiences to customers and their employees.

“Led by a talented management team, NCV believes Enboarder is well positioned for dramatic growth in the years to come.”
Enboarder says that throughout COVID-19, it has seen a prioritisation of employee experience projects focused on driving human connection for blended and remote workforces - with over 40% of customers having expanded from onboarding use only to other use cases ranging from remote onboarding and communications to COVID-19 measures.
“Transitions, such as onboarding, parental leave and offboarding disproportionately drive employee experience,” Enboarder Founder and CEO Brent Pearson said.
“COVID has been the biggest workplace transition of our lifetime and has fast-tracked many employee experience projects, with the additional challenge of dealing with blended workforces. We’re now launching new functionality to tackle the broader employee experience problem including new content use cases and new employee journeys.”
Enboarder says the specific areas of focus for driving human connection and employee experience include both onboarding and returning to the office or reboarding.
“Enboarder is the first Experience-driven Onboarding platform and is the new way businesses onboard. Our platform emphasizes the value of human connection and experience, putting the employee at the centre of everything we do,” Pearson said.
“With Enboarder HR can turn new hires into highly engaged, long term employees and managers into onboarding rockstars, whether they are in the office or working from home.”
