Adore Beauty leverages Zebra Technologies’ mobile warehouse solutions to support aggressive growth

Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA) an innovator at the edge of the enterprise with solutions and partners that enable businesses to gain a performance edge, today announced the results of its work with Adore Beauty. The Australian retailer has achieved a 30 per cent warehouse productivity increase, realised a 50 per cent reduction in the cost to fulfil customer orders and improved their outbound order accrcy rate to 99.9 per cent since it implemented Zebra’s TC8000 Android touch mobile computers just over a year ago.

“The Zebra TC8000 was definitely a crowd favourite. Our team loves the touch screen element and its unique ergonomics suited for our warehouse workflows while remaining both light and rugged. From an operational perspective, deploying the TC8000 was seamless with no interruptions to our supply chain operations, and most importantly, the device gives us a platform that we can leverage to support future growth,” said Charley Fisk, Warehouse Operations Manager, Adore Beauty.

Established in 2000 as the first beauty e-commerce site in Australia, Adore Beauty has experienced phenomenal growth in the last five years, and the retailer now has a stock list of more than 250 global beauty brands with over 13,000 products. On average, Adore Beauty dispatches approximately 6,500 orders daily from its new warehouse in Keilor Park, and its employee count at this warehouse is set to reach 100 people by late 2019.

As its business continued to grow, Adore Beauty needed an alternative to its paper-based warehouse solution that could facilitate its increased customer orders by improving the speed and accuracy of its picking process. The retailer also needed a warehouse solution that could be leveraged for years to come as Adore Beauty’s supply chain continues to evolve to support their aggressive growth plans.

“We are very excited to implement a robust, scalable technology solution that has helped Adore Beauty modernise its warehouse operations,” said Tom Christodoulou, Regional Director of Australia and New Zealand, Zebra Technologies. “Zebra works closely with our partners like Gamma Solutions to deliver industry-tailored solutions that best cater to our customers like Adore Beauty.”

Working closely with Zebra partner Gamma Solutions, Adore Beauty selected Zebra’s TC8000 Android due to its ease of use and stellar reputation. Since its launch, warehouse staff are now able to type up to 40 per cent faster with 60 per cent fewer errors thanks to Zebra’s Enterprise Keyboard, which has been designed to enter highly accurate data in record time. It is part of Zebra’s Mobility DNA which is the industry’s most comprehensive suite of off-the-shelf end user applications, robust administration utilities and effortless development tools.

“The Zebra solution deployed by Gamma Solutions bridged the gap between software and hardware to provide a seamless integration for the new warehouse, so that Adore Beauty could go live without any service interruptions. Zebra’s TC8000 Android touch mobile computers were a clear winner to meet the needs and requirements of Adore Beauty’s operations,” said Paul Pleming, National Sales Manager, Gamma Solutions.
