Australian digital transformation provider ASG Group has officially opened its national operations centre in Adelaide.

ASG says the new centre is a further demonstration of the group’s investment and commitment to its clients, and has been built to the highest levels of security to meet the data sovereignty and onshore IT security requirements of both government and corporate clients.

ASG Group — which is part of the Nomura Research Institute, a Japanese-based consulting and IT group listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange — says the centre will create more than 100 new specialist IT jobs.
The new hub, which was opened by the Premier of South Australia, Steven Marshall, is in line with ASG Group’s strategy to further grow its business nationally, across both private companies and public sector organisations.

ASG chief operating officer Dean Langenbach said the Adelaide NOC had been built with further growth in mind, with a second stage of the facility now under consideration.

“We chose Adelaide as the location for the NOC primarily because of the city’s ‘smart state’ reputation, its history of IT innovation and the availability of a highly skilled workforce," he said.

“Since ASG’s acquisition by parent company Nomura Research Institute in 2016, we have grown substantially and this meant we had a need to establish a national operations centre to service our expanding list of Australian clients.

 “ASG Group continues to win large, strategic contracts from both private companies and public sector agencies, which value our approach, the quality of our services and the inbuilt flexibility that we can provide.

“This further solidifies ASG as the genuine alternative to the global players.”
