Southern Cross rebrands, changes name to SXiQ

IT solutions provider Southern Cross Computer Systems (SCCS) has changed its name and identity to SXiQ and created four new services pillars, which it says will guide customers through the digital challenges they face and help accelerate their adoption of new technologies.

Managing director John Hanna revealed what he says is an entirely new purpose, mission, values and service offerings as the company pivots towards a model underpinned by deeper engagement with clients, partners and the community.

“We’re thrilled to formally introduce SXiQ as we embark on our new journey and change the way we do things. Our mission is to create positive, lasting relationships, which inspire our customers and community through clever technology solutions. Our principles and how we apply these to our customer problems will take advantage of the insights and intuition our team has collectively honed over many years in the industry,” Hanna says.

“Our business has moved from tactical solutions, to focusing on deeper customer immersion, with an emphasis on business outcomes, collaboratively crafting IT and digital road maps, deploying bespoke, tailored solutions and managing those solutions with an always-on operations capability.

“We’ve made significant investments in architecture, design, integration & implementation capabilities across a broad spectrum of end-user, collaboration, datacentre, cyber security and cloud technologies. We’ve already signed on a number of significant clients across energy, telecommunications, retail, state government, federal government and health sectors.”

Hanna says the new services pillars include end-user services, collaboration services, DC and enterprise systems and cloud services, each of which provide architecture and design, HW and SW procurement, integration, implementation and migration, "always on – 24x7" managed services, and general staff augmentation.

He also announced that, as part of its commitment to inspire others and engage the community, SXiQ has launched a new partnership with PonyUp for Good, a social enterprise, which on-sells the company’s donated, decommissioned technology, donating 50% of its profits to SecondBite, Australia's largest fresh food rescue charity.
