WARDY IT Solutions - Microsoft Data Platform Partner of the Year Award Finalist

WARDY IT Solutions has been awarded as a finalist for the Microsoft Data Platform Partner of the Year Award. This award recognises WARDY IT Solutions skills in implementing mission-critical SQL Server solutions.

WARDY IT Solutions has been recognized as Australia's leading SQL Server consultants, trainers and Business Intelligence specialists.

WARDY IT Solutions has been awarded as a finalist for the Microsoft Australia Partner Awards (MAPA) Data Platform Partner of the Year Award.  The winner of this award will be announced at the Australia Partner Conference at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on the 23rd-25th August.

This prestigious award recognises partners who have successfully delivered innovative solutions based on the Microsoft Data Platform. To be recognized for this award the solution needs to empower a customer by taking advantage of the leading capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server, demonstrating reporting, analysis, integration and high availability. The solution also needs to utilise premium editions of Microsoft SQL Server in a mission-critical environment.

The solution that WARDY IT Solutions was recognized for was developing a Separation of Duties security solution for one of the world's largest financial institutions. The Separation of Duties solution leverages the out-of-the-box functionality of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 to provide fine-grained access control to sensitive data.  This solution based on the Separation of Duties framework was complimented by a .Net application developed by WARDY IT Solutions that allowed the customer to easily configure the security for users who required administrative access to manage the SQL Server instance.

The Separation of Duties solution provides the ability to harden a SQL Server instance and enforce industry standard best practices in terms of separating duties from administrative users. The solution also protects data from administrative users while still allowing them to maintain the system.  The solution developed by WARDY IT Solutions solves one of the most difficult SQL Server security challenges: protecting against insider threats, meeting regulatory compliance requirements, and enforcing separation of duty.
