Thomas Palmer appointed Managing Director of Capiotech

Image Capiotech announced today that it has appointed Thomas Palmer as the Company’s Managing Director. Palmer succeeds Steven Pennisi, the company’s co-founder, who will assume the role of chief executive officer devoted to managing the expansion of the Capiotech group including Capiotech’s new joint venture with Sydney University.

Thomas, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, moved to Australia in July 2005 to take on the role of Managing Director for Hyperion Australia and New Zealand. He continued in this role through the acquisition of Hyperion by Oracle and integrated his team within Oracle as General Manager for Oracle’s Enterprise Performance Management/Business Intelligence (EPM/BI) business unit in Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to moving to Australia and gaining permanent residency, Thomas worked for Hyperion in the USA, joining in 1999 as a Strategic Account Executive. In this role he had responsibility for overall account management at Bank of America, Wachovia, Duke Energy, ING and SunTrust Bank. Thomas brings to Capiotech an outstanding track record in sales having ranked in the top 5 account executives at Hyperion since 1999.

Steven Pennisi founded Capiotech along with Brendan Leonard in 1999 and led the company through an outstanding period of growth, both in terms of numbers of customers and successful implementations as well as number of staff.
