Dataweave Wins Contract for First SME Version of Oracle E-Business Suite in Australia

Dataweave, a Sydney-based Oracle Certified Advantage Business Partner, has been awarded a contract from Australian-headquartered KRC Mining Consultants to implement Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Universal Content Management. This will be the first deployment using Oracle Accelerate E-Business Suite in Australia.

Oracle Accelerate delivers a comprehensive set of applications and rapid implementation tools so that companies and government entities can maximise their budgets and achieve real business value quickly. Dataweave will implement Oracle Accelerate E-Business suite, a fully-integrated ERP solution for mid-market companies. The Oracle Accelerate small and medium business program is designed to simplify and speed deployment of Oracle’s enterprise applications through pre-configured business flows and an automated configuration tool.

Oracle E-Business Suite is the world’s most comprehensive suite of integrated, global business applications. Using Oracle Accelerate, Dataweave can provide an integrated solution for companies such as KRC Mining Consultants which have complex requirements similar to those of large enterprises but with a small company’s limited budget and need for fast deployment.

KRC Mining Consultants provides consulting services to over 50 mining and cement companies and aggregates operations across Australia, Africa, South America and the Asia Pacific region.

Steve Franklin, Managing Director, KRC Mining Consultants, said, “Over the past twelve months, we have seen a burgeoning demand for the specialist services we supply to the international cement industry. On a regular basis, we receive requests from companies across the globe and as a result of this we have rapidly expanded our staff numbers to cope with this increased demand. “

“With this increase in scope of operation, however, it became very clear that we would need to ensure that we had the administrative, project management and document management systems so that we could viably and successfully service the business. Additionally, we required systems that were multi-currency and multi-language.  Only Oracle E-Business Suite 12 and Oracle Universal Content Management were able to meet the challenges we set for an integrated, effective system suitable for a small company but with the potential to grow and expand to suit the breadth of our operations.”

“Not only did Oracle staff go out of their way to help us at every turn and at every potential roadblock but they also pointed us in the direction of Dataweave as a partner for the implementation phase.”

With Oracle Accelerate, businesses can take advantage of Oracle’s enterprise applications, including integrated business flows across front office, back office and industry-specific processes.

“The efforts of the Dataweave team have been little short of remarkable. Not only are we implementing a world-class system which will be the foundation of our growth but we have also engaged with a first class IT partner in the process,” said Franklin.

Dataweave provides organisations with database services, applications integration and Oracle E-Business Solutions. Earlier this year, the company achieved Oracle Certified Advantage Business Partner status, Oracle’s highest level of partner accreditation.  The certification was achieved through investment in additional staff and training and has enabled Dataweave to receive advanced levels of service, support and resources.

Offering Oracle Accelerate to the Australian SME market will create new market opportunities for Dataweave to deliver enterprise-level capabilities to mid-size companies who need world-class technology but may not necessarily have the budget of larger-sized organisations.

“The Oracle Accelerate solution and configuration tool will allow us to deliver a complete integrated system to KRC Mining Consultants in less than three months with minimal disruption to their business. This makes for a very competitive offering allowing us to deliver a Tier 1 solution at an SME price,” said Norman Weaver, Managing Director, Dataweave.
