Review - InstaPDF for iOS

By

Go paperless by turning your iOS device into a document scanner wherever you are.

InstaPDF, or to use its full title, "InstaPDF: One Tap Scanning. Zero Effort Management", by Mackh AG is a free universal app for the iPhone and iPad. It requires iOS 8.0 or later and may be downloaded from the Apple App Store.

InstaPDF is free, though does require an InstaPDF account which can be easily created within the app. This account allows you to easily synchronise all your scans across your devices. A free companion Mac OS X app also allows you to retrieve and work on your scanned documents from your desktop or laptop Mac computers. Both the iOS and OS X apps are supplemented by the InstaPDF web site. From the web site, you can again log in and view and manage all your files, and easily drag-and-drop between your computer and the site.

InstaPDF makes it extremely easy to manage your scanned documents via this wide range of supporting interfaces.

Feature-wise, InstaPDF offers one-tap scanning of your documents - be they photos, passports, receipts, expense claims, super secret documents or whatever. It can handle multipage documents and has smarts to enhance text and autocrop page edges.

Scan your important travel documents so they are always with you. Scan your business documents and improve your workflow. Scan your receipts, recipes, or anything you need to keep.

You can markup your scans with drawing, highlighting, stamping, text, annotate and signing tools.

In fact, these facilities make it a snap to receive a contract, scan it, sign it, and email the signed document without having to re-print or re-scan or photocopy anything.

InstaPDF really is a document management system for business people, for home users, and for anyone who needs easy management of documents no matter if it is on their phone only, or across a whole range of machines.
