Government-certified Protected cloud provider Vault has signed a deal with cyber security firm archTIS to offer the Federal Government a high-performance secure environment to share and work on sensitive data.

archTIS is based in Canberra and gained a listing on the ASX (ASX: AR9) on 21 September, a statement said, adding that the partnership would use archTIS Kojensi Gov cloud services to be used in Vault's Australian Signals Directorate-certified cloud environment.

“I am excited by what this partnership means, not just for archTIS and Vault, but also for the Australian Government and the protection of Australian data," said archTIS chairman Stephen Smith.

"The archTIS and Vault partnership offers clients a sovereign, proven and unique capability built by two Australian companies that are leading the world in their respective fields

“Government agencies that prioritise security and want to have confidence about access to their data, will find this Australian solution very valuable.”

Vault founder and chief executive Rupert Taylor-Price said: "2018 has seen significant increase in cloud use and there is a growing demand for software-as-a-service. As the market becomes more mature, citizens are starting to ask 'Where will my data be located?', 'Who will access my data?' and 'Is my data subject to the legal jurisdiction of another country?’

"Vault Cloud has partnered with archTIS to bring a secure collaboration SaaS to market with uncompromising security, privacy and sovereignty.

“With the high volume of documents and sensitive information being reproduced and shared digitally it’s critical that security and sovereignty are a priority.

"Being able to communicate and work together across governmental agencies and with our partners is a necessity if we are going to continue to combat terrorism and aid in humanitarian efforts across the world.”

archTIS will launch the beta version of Kojensi Gov on Vault Cloud later this year, followed by a commercial market launch in 2019. The company has applied for patent protection of the core intellectual property that underpins its access control technology.
