Developers chose Snyk’s platform to make the production of their cloud native applications safe. The platform looks for vulnerabilities using IDE and SCM-Integration while programming, resulting to automatic debugging, and learnings can be implemented immediately.
Introducing new vulnerabilities into the code base through new dependencies and code changes can be prohibited.
Due to reports and warnings, oversight of the security state of the application is ensured across all development teams. Governance can be managed by company-wide security and license policies, as well as context-oriented prioritisation.
Snyk allows security integration. Relevant application and security information is integrated into a SaaS platform, where products meet the requirements of old and new systems, including Open Source, containers, and infrastructure as code.
Customers like Asurion, Google, Intuit, MongoDB, New Relic, Revolut, and Salesforce have already established their security with Snyk. Users have performed more than 300 million tests within the last 12 months and fixed more than 30 million security vulnerabilities within the last 90 days.
Snyk also counts the Australian Volt Bank as its customer, and it commends Snyk’s ability to easily fit into the developer workstream.
“As an open source service provider, we were looking for a solution that would prove itself especially in the environment of open technologies and take into account the security and compliance requirements of our customers. Snyk fits perfectly into this gap and adds an important piece of the DevSecOps puzzle to our portfolio,” says Adfinis CEO and chief technical officer Nicolas Christener.
Snyk closed a $530 million Series F investment at $8.5 billion valuation, raising the total funding to $775 million. The financing will continue to fuel Snyk’s product innovation and development, set to be revealed at the company’s free annual developer conference, SnykCon 2021, this week. During the conference, Snyk will introduce new enhancements to its Developer Security Platform and new workflow integrations.
