Axis provides more ways to keep an eye out

Network video specialist Axis has released additional networked HD surveillance cameras.

Axis' new M32 series is primarily designed for the retail industry.

Models include the M3204 with 720p/one megapixel resolution at full frame rate, and the M3203 which delivers SVGA resolution. Features include Power over Ethernet, a varifocal lens, and a mechanical design that provides flexible adjustment of the field of view.

The company has also released the P3304 series, which are HD versions of the P3301 models. These fixed dome cameras provide wide dynamic range, 720p/one megapixel resolution at full frame rate, Power over Ethernet, and two-way audio.

They also include the Axis Camera Application Platform, so video applications can run in the camera.

Some of the new models are available in vandal-resistant versions.

All of the new cameras support H.264 and Motion JPEG video. Software features include pan/tilt/zoom, a pixel counter to verify that the resolution of an object meets specific requirements, and compatibility with Axis Camera Station and other video management applications.

"Axis M32 Series and AXIS P3304 provide excellent video quality, in both SVGA and HDTV resolution," said Wai King Wong, country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

"They are perfectly adapted for the retail market and other industry segments that require discreet, tamper-proof and cost-effective indoor video surveillance," he explained.
