The special edition EPOS Adapt 660 AMC Aston Martin headset takes your audio experience to the F1 level

The EPOS Adapt 660 AMC headset is the first new product arising from the relationship between the AV device maker and the Aston Martin Cogniziant Formula One team. It pairs EPOS’ high-end audio tech with Aston Martin’s iconic British racing green colours and style to make a headset with stunning looks and equally stunning performance.

EPOS continues to bring its more than a century of experience in innovation and sound to its headsets, with four lines: Impact for office workers, Expand for conference room collaboration, and Command for the most-demanding operational excellence requirements like air traffic control. Then we have the Adapt range, for remote professionals, and with the new Adapt 660 AMC EPOS has expanded upon its already well-established high-quality materials and comfort.

The headset features new accents in iconic Aston Martin British racing green, is padded with premium fabric and leatherette, and brings an ergonomic and compact design that provides long-lasting all-day comfort.

As you expect from EPOS, the headset is certified for Microsoft Teams and other conferencing systems and provides tools for enterprise administrators to manage the headphone fleet.

However, these specs aside, the magic happens when you put the headphones on. They bring crisp audio, clear microphone pickup through four adaptive automatic noise-cancelling microphones, and superb clarity. This is the headset for professionals who appreciate the power of audio in business or in other collaborations - where communication matters and you don’t want to waste time asking if people can hear you.

Of course, with its EPOS AI machine learning, stereo sound, adaptive ANC, and microphones, it’s also great for music, gaming, podcasts, and all your other audio needs, and it brings up to 30 hours of battery performance. The AI support can extract voice from other noises like your keyboard, people speaking in the background, neighbourhood dogs, and more, and not only your voice but the caller’s voice, reducing distracting noises for both ends of the call. The difference in microphone pickup from a lower-end traditional headset is apparent and noticeable. As well as the ANC microphones the earcups include 15 to 30 dB passive noise cancellation to help in open offices or commuting.

All this combines to mean all-day comfort, clarity, style, and the enormous productivity that arises from crystal-clear audio.

What's more, this is a headset that will stand out - but not in any garish way. If you’re tired of traditional black or beige office equipment, but not quite into the ostentatious looks and RGB lighting of many other headsets, you’ll find this a stylish option in an iconic colour scheme - the recognisable and tremendous Aston Martin colouring.

EPOS Cognizant

iTWire found the unit an exceptional business-grade headset; it's designed for premium unified communications but also works tremendously as a stereo noise-cancelling headset for play and entertainment as well as work. You can switch the ANC off and on to conserve battery life if you don’t need it, and it supports Bluetooth 5.0, SBC, AAC, aptX, and aptX low latency. We used it with Teams, Zoom, and for music and podcasts. The ANC works well to remove background noise on each side of the call and voice clarity was excellent. When you're not working, use it to play music and it proves itself well as a quality set of stereo headphones. The soft padding makes it comfortable to keep wearing them over the day.

The box includes an audio cable with 2.5mm and 3.5mm plugs, a USB-A/USB-C cable with a micro-USB connector, and the headset has a two-year limited warranty.
