The Jabra Elite 5 earbuds offer sound made magic

The Jabra Elite 5 allows you to focus on what really matters, with hybrid active noise cancelling, six-microphone call technology, wind noise reduction, multipoint connectivity, and up to seven hours of battery life.

The Jabra Elite 5 earbuds are available in two attractive styles, gold beige and titanium black, and offer a wide range of features to ensure those on the go always enjoy immersive sound, free from the distractions of the outside world. Its hybrid ANC suppresses a wide range of noise, its Bluetooth multipoint keeps you connected to two devices, and its six-mic call tech delivers clear calls anywhere.

The earbuds support voice assistants, as well as Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for instant connections. They have 6mm speakers that provide sharp and clear lows, mids, and highs. It’s IP55 dust and water-resistant, can be charged wirelessly and runs for seven hours between charges, or 28 hours when using the charging carry case.

You also receive three sizes of eartips in the box, and it handles Spotify tap playback too.

It's a lot of bang for your buck, a lot of punch for such tiny earbuds, and the end result is you can make calls, connect, and listen to music or podcasts in confidence. The Jabra Elite 5 helps you work hard and play hard, focusing on business calls then escaping into immersive media with simply the touch of a button.

The tech is based on the Qualcomm QCC3050 Bluetooth chipset, and the Hybrid ANC leverages the feedback microphones on the inside of the ear and feedforward microphones on the outside. This means the ANC is less dependent on how you position the buds in your ear, and you can ensure a consistent, stable noise cancellation experience across a wide range of frequencies.

The earbuds are sleek, portable, comfortable, and stylish. They connect seamlessly and are supplemented by the Jabra Sound+ app to customise your profiles, select voice assistant, adjust EQ, and update the firmware. Register the earbuds in the app too to get a two-year warranty against dust and water.

iTWire has been testing them out and found they offer genuine long-lasting comfort, durability, and absolutely excellent audio. We could converse with colleagues, enjoy a world of music despite the outside hustle and bustle, and also easily adjust operations with the slightest touch.

Both earbuds offer functions when pressed once or twice, and when held. During a call tap on either earbud to mute or unmute, push twice to answer or hangup. Hold the left earbud for volume down and right for volume up.

While playing music tap the left earbud to toggle ANC and HearThrough, and tap twice to use your voice assistant or Spotify Tap. Use the right earbud to play/pause (one tap), skip to the next track (two taps), or go back a track (three taps). Again, hold the left earbud for volume down and right for volume up.

The Jabra Elite 5 is available now for $219.

Hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds enabling businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control that you can get from your on-premise infrastructure.

Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. Taking advantage of compression and data deduplication can reduce your network latency.

Research firm, Markets and Markets, predicted that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from US$38.27 billion in 2017 to US$97.64 billion by 2023.

Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while still maintaining physical control of your systems.

Cloud adjacency provided by colocation facilities can enable you to leverage their low latency high bandwidth connections to the cloud as well as providing a solid connection back to your on-premises corporate network.

Download this white paper to find out what you need to know about enabling the hybrid cloud in your organisation.
