Rod Christie is Wavelink's new Fortinet pre-sales engineer.
He has more than 20 years’ experience across Australia and New Zealand as a network engineer and in sales.
Christie joins Wavelink from SonicWall where he worked as a senior channel sales engineer. He previously served as a solutions architect at Communications Design and Management, a Fortinet pre-sales and security engineer at Exclusive Networks, and a Fortinet solutions architect at Ingram Micro.
Earlier in his career Christie worked in hands-on IT roles at APN, Lanscape and Woolworths NZ.
He holds a diploma in business IT from the University of Auckland, and is a Fortinet certified trainer.
“Rod’s extensive Fortinet experience will assist new and existing customers with their security roadmap, including matching business needs to technical solutions,” said Rubin.
John Kouimtzis is now channel marketing manager at Wavelink.
He has worked in sales and marketing for more than 15 years, most recently with Microsoft NZ, but also at rhipe, Make It Cheaper, General Brokerage Services, Energy Watch, Freedom SEO, National Protective Services and Snooze.
Kouimtzis holds a bachelor's degree in business from Swinburne.
“John’s focus will be on driving channel marketing strategy and growth, with his work supporting Wavelink’s strong relationships with vendors such as Fortinet,” said Rubin
Ben Estens takes on the role of solutions architect for Wavelink's connected health business.
He joins the company from Woolworths, where he was the mobile solution architect behind the 'scan and go' project.
His previous roles include Android enterprise partner trainer at Cognizant, mobile device management specialist at NSW Health, senior technical support engineer at Citrix, senior solutions architect at Matrix42 and at Silverback MDM, and systems engineer at Airloom.
He holds Bachelor of IT from CQ University.
“Ben’s significant expertise in the mobility sector will help partners in assisting healthcare organisations determine the best solution for their requirements,” said Rubin.
