Data centres service provider DCI Data Centers has appointed Verghese Jacob as Chief Technology Officer and member of its executive leadership team.

Announcing Jacob’s appointment, Malcolm Roe, DCI’s Chief Executive Officer said Verghese has “immense experience managing all aspects of data centre project development in Australia and across the APAC region.”

DCI said Jacob commenced his career in the Australian telecommunications industry, “garnering experience in corporate safety and environment, business unit risk management, carrier facilities access, building services design and construction delivery”.

“He advanced through the ranks of senior professional and managerial positions before establishing his own company, FMevolution in 2007, where he continued to program and project manage the delivery of worldleading designed data centres for clients such as Woolworths, Pacnet (now Telstra),, Metronode (now Equinix) and AirTrunk.”

“I am looking forward to the challenge of developing the next generation of reliable, secure, and sustainable data centres across Asia Pacific, while working with people I respect, in a company that strives for the highest standards of business ethics,” Jacob said.

“With a proven track record in safety, technology and program management for the delivery of global scale telecommunications and data centre infrastructure, my next move involves a greater focus on technology innovation and leadership in sustainability.”

Read more about these two solutions, and how PacketLight fits into all this.
