Venter brings over 25 years of global experience to REA.
He joins the company after more than a decade at ANZ Bank, most recently as general manager of Australia business transformation technology.
During that period Venter also founded Sambellina and Nite Rays, serving as CIO/CTO of the former and chief everything officer of the latter.
He began his career in consulting, first at Anderson Consulting, followed by spells at TUI Consulting, Liquid Fusion, Deloitte Consulting, and Oracle.
Venter sits on the advisory board of the University of Melbourne's computer information systems department.
He holds a double degree in computer science and business from the University of Auckland, and a Bachelor of Information Technology from University of Technology Sydney.
