Tech Data appoints new APAC human resources chief

US-based ICT services company Tech Data has appointed 20-year industry veteran Tom Kraabel as vice-president, Human Resources, Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Kraabel will lead the strategic direction and operations of Tech Data's Asia Pacific human resources function, including talent management and retention, organisational and performance management, training and development, succession planning, employee benefits, and compensation.

Kraabel joins Tech Data with more than two decades of human resources experience spanning the Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the United States, most recently as vice-president, Global Talent Acquisition and Development at Pall Corporation.

He also held human resources positions with MasterCard, Ingram Micro and Honeywell.

Kraabel has served as a principal at LeBaark Consulting, a provider of interim human resources leadership, executive coaching, and strategic consulting services.
