Forest brings more than 16-years of digital experience with global brands in the USA, Asia and Australia, and says he joins Clipp with the aim of scaling the rapidly expanding business and exploring revenue raising opportunities through future capital rounds.
Clipp, dubbed the ‘Uber for bar tabs’, has experienced strong growth in 2014, signing over 200 venues in less than 6 months and boosting its portfolio to 270 venues across Australia.
Forest worked with Nike as a product manager before joining AOL in the US as VP of its media networks where he managed Netscape.com and AIM.
In 2006, Forest joined job site Jobfox as CMO.
After moving to Australia, Forest became the Director of Content and Audience Experience at nineMSN. He managed MSN across the APAC region including ANZ, Korea, and SE Asia and was responsible for launching the Bing Apps with more than 50 media partnerships.
Forest is also an active angel investor who has currently invested in 6 Australian start-ups including DesignCrowd, RecruitLoop, Posse, XLabs and HeyLets, now also has a minority stake in Clipp.
He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg.
Greg Taylor, one of the co-founders of Clipp, will continue in his role as Chairman and focus on strategic partnerships for the company.
