In her new role, Louise Bolger will oversee the legal, corporate governance, and compliance function within Swoop. She joins the company with more than two decades of experience in telecommunications.
Bolger will also manage Swoop’s legal obligations and risk, and ensure the company’s corporate governance and compliance measures are robust.
Bolger joins the company with two decades’ experience in telecommunications, media, technology, and financial services, and more than 10 years’ experience advising CEOs, leadership teams and boards of ASX-listed companies on complex legal, governance, compliance, and risk issues.
Prior to joining Swoop, Bolger was general counsel and company secretary at four ASX-listed companies. In the mergers and acquisitions space, Louise’s career highlights saw her involved in the arrangements leading to TPG Telecom acquiring Pipe for $373 million and the $724 million off-market takeover by SCMG of Austereo Group.
Alex West, Swoop CEO, comments on her appointment: “The appointment of Louise Bolger comes at an exciting time in the business following our strong debut on the ASX.”
“Louise’s extensive background in the telecommunications industry, alongside advising ASX listed companies, adds to the significant management experience in the Swoop team as we ramp up our expansion across Australia and open up opportunities to service more customers, particularly in regional areas,” he adds.
“We are thrilled to welcome her on board,” he says.
Louise Bolger, Swoop general counsel and company secretary, says: “I’m excited to be joining Swoop at such a pivotal time in the company. I look forward to working closely with such an experienced and dedicated team to solidify and expand Swoop’s presence to become a leader in the Australian telecommunications landscape.”
