Global energy management company Schneider Electric has appointed Philippe Rambach as its new Vice President of Industry Business.

A 15-year industry veteran, prior to his appointment Rambach was VP for Schneider Electric in France, working across the company’s Variable Frequency Drives Business and the Intelligent Electronic Devices Business. He also worked with Areva T&D before it was sold to Schneider and has also held senior posts at Johnson Controls, and Sagem (Safran group).

In his new role, Rambach will oversee Schneider’s operations in mining, minerals and metals, food & beverage and water/wastewater.

Stephen Coop, Zone President Pacific, Schneider Electric said the next few years are “crucial for Rambach as Schneider Electric develops synergies across the multiple solution and service domains of its organisation, while at the same time implements an aggressive growth strategy for its products.”

“As Australia’s economic environment moves through a significant period of change brought about by factors such as commodity prices, social / environmental pressures, and a shift in global demand for Australian products and resources, industry is increasingly looking to optimise existing assets,” Coop said.

“Philippe’s appointment will help Schneider Electric deliver best-of-breed solutions and products that can help manufacturing and critical infrastructure operations to maximise the performance of their existing plants and facilities.

“Philippe is a strategic and passionate leader with a wealth of experience and proven capability across Schneider Electric’s global businesses. His appointment will benefit Schneider Electric’s customers, partners and employees and ensure that Schneider Electric is best placed to help industry manage the changes ahead.”
